Notice: Special Assessment Meeting Delay Notice & Pinewood News

Dear Pinewood South Residents:

The board meeting for Special Assessment has been reset for Friday, June 13th at 3:30 PM. We will still hold the Friday May 23rd Board meeting for other agenda items including acceptance of Regina Kilmartin’s resignation and the appointment of Richard Buley to fill her term on the Board. We will ‘reorganize’ the board to give Richard Buley the treasurer’s title, as well. A vote will be held on a proposed 6 month trial change to the motorcycle rule to allow owners the option to own a single motorcycle as one of their two vehicle limit. Motorcycle operation must be quiet and visiting motorcycles will NOT be allowed. The rule will be revisited at the fall business meeting for extension or cancellation, if passed.

Josh, the Crevalle Consulting Engineer, brought 3 contracting firms to Pinewood on Wednesday, 5/21 (Hein Brothers, Messery Painting and Restoration & Elias Brothers) for the competitive bid process and there is a chance that we might have updated numbers in hand by June 13th. Additionally, we will keep August 1st as the first payment date so no time will be lost by this Special Assessment delay. Dates and amounts due are likely to remain the same as listed in the original notice.

In other news, The LLC that owns the driveway committed to reimburse Pinewood $9175 for half of driveway expense so far incurred and now wants to talk directly with me on the best way to proceed forward for a long term driveway fix. They are supposed to contact me either by phone or email as soon as possible. Hopefully, we can rally all of our driveway neighbors to participate in repairs.

Two units at Pinewood are scheduled to close with new owners in the next week or two – 1508 and 203. 807, 808, 606 and 1102 have also sold in the last year or so. Further, an inquiry regarding unit #1902 has been made by an individual that said he had an offer pending for that one. Seems the reports of the death of of the Fort Myers real estate market were premature!

Best Regards and I look forward to having anyone interested at the meeting (local or remote) on Friday 5/23 at 3:30 pm.

Greg at Pinewood South
