Dear residents of Pinewood South.

The city of Fort Myers Utilities Department sent us a notice dated 25 July 2024 warning of possible water leaks and water waste. We are going to conduct an internal audit and inspection. Every Pinewood resident here now will be required to check their units for running toilettes, leaky showers, dripping faucets etc.  When this is done please send me an email to let me know when you have conducted the inspection and give me an all clear, nothing noted in unit #— or let me know if you have something that needs to be repaired and I will have Brian our maintenance man correct it. Bottom line we are trying to fix the problem and not blame.  This will also help to narrow down the possible source of the leaks in the event we have to have an outside agency conduct the inspection. 

We want to do an internal check to minimize cost so we do not have to have an outside agency conduct the inspection and repairs. We need max participation to keep it internal and cost down. Also consulted with several plumbing experts and small leaks can add up. Example 10 toilettes running continuously  can raise condominium association’s water bill 1000 USD a month.
